So Larry Lessig has decided not to run for Congress. Now all of us socially-progressive geeks can put our full energy into Barack Obama.
Obama has done a great job of drawing his financial support many micro-donations collected online rather than relying on a few welathy donors as Hillary has. This new and more distributed model of fundraising was first successfully applied by the Howard Dean campaign in 2004 and has big implications. Ideally, collecting money from thousands of ordinary Americans instrad of a few rich people means that the candidate becomes accountable to the broad public, not a small group of wealthy donors.
If you think this is the way politics should work, please consider making a small donation to the Obama campaign so Barack can get to 1 million donors. (My donation was just $5). By making a donation, you are showing the we, the American people are the "one million people who own this campaign."
